Yeah I guess mine do too, sometimes I'll read a lot then sometimes I'll not read anything for days. I just read a really crap short story last night, about a guy who met this woman at a speed dating thing and then when she says "I can't believe you don't recognise me I see you every day" it then goes into him trying to work out who she is, but it's soooo bloody obvious who she is that at the end when the writer reveals it was the person who I thought it was, it was really crap!

Yeah sometimes twists are really obvious! Shame when that happens.

I've just read Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I wanted to read the book before I saw the film at the cinema, but I don't think the film's on anymore! Only took me two days to read this, it's not long and is pretty easy going. Full of the usual Neil Gaiman weirdness, only for kids.
I'm also still ploughing my way through Renegade's Magic by Robin Hobb. I love her, but I'm struggling with this one as the main character is so annoying! And as it's first person VP, you can't even get away from him.

Pity about the cinema not showing that any more! I've been reading a fair bit recently, the Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry was very good, about this old woman in a mental hospital and how she got there, set in Sligo.
Thinking of reading my old David Eddings books again, haven't read them in a while and he died a few weeks ago.

Did he? I didn't know that.
I might start on the book mum got me for my birthday as it's just short stories. All by Garth Nix.

Yeah short stories can be easier to dip in and out of, I was exhausted a few times recently after not being able to put a book down aand reading till way too late at night!
About a month ago I think, I meant to post something here about it but I forgot.

I've just bought "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies" . It's apparently a re-working of the original using most of the text, but adding in zombie hordes. Cooolness

Sounds ace!
At the mo I'm still reading Renegade's Magic by Robin Hobb. God I want the main character to die so much!
