I've just finished reading "overheard in a dream" by Torey Hayden. It's a lot different than her other books which are true stories told from her point of view as a child psychologist or special ed teacher, this is i think maybe based on a few dfferent cases with some more dramatic and fantasy stuff put in.
anyway i ordered the valley of the horses by jean m auel at the library ages ago but i've not heard anything, i also have to order 1984 or my mate steve says he'll disown me!

Yeah 1984 is brilliant, one of my favourite books ever! I have Valley of the Horses so you can borrow it when you're back here, I have the rest of the series too, Valley of the Horses is actually missing a few pages at the start though where my dog chewed it!
I recently finished Atonement by Ian McEwan. It was good, I enjoyed it for the most part, especially the bits about how as a writer you kind of play God, found it dragged in a few places unneccessarily but overall it was a good read.

No worries about double posts There's really only just a few of us use the site these days so it's grand.
I'm still just reading study books, when I was on hols though i read Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky, a great book, she brings characters to life so quickly, and a very tragic story behind the story as she died in a concentration camp in WW2, the book was never finished.

I'm reading Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman. Short stories again. Just read a really weird one... it's like a sherlock holmes story but has a really good twist at the end. And it has aliens in it.

Ta! I especially love the 'young' bit!
I'm currently reading Renegade's Magic by Robin Hobb. Tis book three of a trilogy, been waiting for this last one to come out for ages! Tis pretty good, although the main character is such a whiny sod!

You are young! You're younger than me anyway! Love it so far but haven't much of a chance to read, with sis being up and stuff, hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll get a chance!

Younger is younger! Yeah it's good, I'd have read more if I hadn't been so exhausted the last few nights & I forgot to bring it up to mum's last night (also forgot my pyjamas so it's not a reflection on the book, trust me! I just left the bag behind that it was in)
